I had a great time last night! I can't believe we are done (well almost). I will miss the Wiki Calls!

Thanks for getting this started Amanda.

I think we need to make sure we get together at least once more before Amanda leaves. Also, we should try to add something difficult to this page, to make sure someone calls for help. I will miss the calls myself, but Darlene brought over a very nice treat for my help! Which reminds me, I will miss Darlene's treats every Monday night. Aside from the fact that I was not a very good student this quarter, I was very happy to make a nice bunch of friends.

Thank you--it has been a treat to work with you and I will be using your thoughtful comments about the Curriculum Center as I try to make it more useful for education students. Let me know as you get jobs and I hope to see many of you at WLMA conference in Yakima October 11-13

I passed my practicum with Nancy on Wednesday! JoAnn was there too and am sure she did great as well. Just an FYI, Nancy basically told us that with decreased enrollment, no applicants for her position and the district cuts on LMS in our area that the program would most likely NOT be offered at EWU any longer. Those of you that need to finish up might consider U of I or may even asking Nancy about independent learning opportunities. It can be a pain but might be your best bet!

Way to go Amy! You are on your way. I am sure JoAnn passed also. It has been fun getting to know all of you this past school year. Yes! Let's get together before Amanda leaves. I appreciate all of you and your help these past quarters. Such good support from all of you. Hope the beginning of your summers are going well. I am going to finish that portfolio now, so my summer can begin. Thanks to all of you.

Hello everyone!! I am going in for a interview for my job at Moran Prairie. I am a bit nervous. I feel that this is my job to lose, and someone else would have to do extra-ordinary to get it. That being said, I am very nervous and decided to look over our wiki sites again to see if there is anything else I should mention I have learned. It is incredible how much information has passed through my head this year. I hope I am not to nervous to tell about everything. Hope you all are having a great summer.

JoAnn, good luck and relax. You got the job last fall and just look at all you have learned since then. You will be fabulous! Michelle, Willard's librarian said when she visited you, that as people passed through the library, she could tell they loved you, and she didn't think she was even going to apply for the position because she wouldn't have a chance against you. I'll be thinking the best for you. Let us know.

Wow! Per a phone call from Darlene sounds like everyone has an interview coming up...sweet. We need to keep this "in touch" thing up when we all get jobs so we can vent and bounce ideas off each other. Hope everyone is enjoying their vacation. School starts tomorrow...who else is going to the lit class? Joann, don't be nervous!! You have to be confident!!! You know this job, you have so much information in your cute little head, do not be intimidated...best of luck to everyone...I just got back from Bellingham (where it rained the whole time) and saw my brother and his wife perform in Fiddler on the Roof, they were so good. I guess the singing and acting genes passed me by.

Amanda P.S. 2 weeks until I find out I failed the Praxis

My thoughts are with all of you interviewing! Good luck, stay cool and give 'em your best elevator speech :) Amanda...I am less confident about my scores as the weeks pass and I ponder my answers to the questions. I think I'll be studying WITH the rest of you gals for the August test!

All right ladies, let's be a little more positive about the praxis test. You are smart ladies and probably aced it. That's great about your brother and his wife. I'll tell my daughter who lives in Bellingham about the performance. Is it still going? Who else has interviews? Let us all know how you're doing. It is fun to hear from you all. Let's keep this up. I'm going to get back to my portfolio business - how time consuming. It really cuts into my summer activities.

I love this "keeping in touch page". I am still waiting to see if I have the job I interviewed for last Friday. I called HR and they said that they hadn't made a decision yet. I feel like you guys waiting for the test results, the longer I wait the more doubtful I become. This is pretty tough, but I am going to get a massage today that one of my students had given me as a Christmas present. That should help me out of this doubtful funk. Anyway I understand that Pam and Darlene are both interviewing for the job in East Valley at Pam's school. Also Amanda, Darlene and I are in class together this afternoon. It is going to bre great class as far as the teacher goes, but the students are just not the same. We miss you guys.

I am feeling a little left out not being in class with you guys. I guess Pam and I will get a chance later this summer to be in class. Good luck to you interviewees. I hope District 81 hurries up for you JoAnn. It must be awful to kind of be left hanging. Positive! Positive! thoughts coming your way, JoAnn! Anyone hear how Justin, wife and new baby are doing? Back to that portfolio.

Karen, DO NOT put too much time into your portfolio. I repeat DO NOT put too much time into your portfolio. You work speaks for itself and I used the same 6 or 8 items over and over again. Because they were so thorough and emcompassing I felt that they covered a lot of the competencies. Honestly, a good Saturday and Sunday should "git r done"! :)
